25-year-old Usen Effiong has been arrested for impersonating himself as a Medical Doctor and consulting for the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital for two months now
Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command stated that he was caught based on the report from the teaching hospital
Effiong is a secondary school dropout and he has been seriously parading himself as a consultant. He had with him sphygmomanometer (blood pressure apparatus) and stethoscope. He further had with him a prescriptions and forms that he plans to fill to become a member of the association of resident doctors” Can you imagine?
Unfortunately Effiong activities became more suspicious when some actual medical doctors of the teaching hospital could not identify him. He went as far as always sitting on the Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences..
The Police Personnel investigating this awful situation stated that the law would take its course
