President Goodluck Jonathan's motor convoy was involved in an accident in Paris, France yesterday. This was reported by the Sahara Reporters. The President was traveling with his aides for a meeting with Francois Gerard Hollande, the French President when the accident happened.
Furthermore the report states French Police source disclosed that the accident happened few minutes away from the venue of the official meeting with President Francois. The venue is said to be Elysee Palace.
According to Sahara Reporters, a Presidential Liaison Officer (PLO), Waziri Jamilu was injured in the accident and he has been taken to the hospital to receive treatment. The wounded officer walks with the aid of crutches for now. He is presently returning back with the President Jonathan into the country. They should arrive Abuja later today.
We are glad that the accident was not a fatal one.
